Title: Midnight Fire

This painting depicts a campfire in the dark of night; floating embers and flames dancing above the fire, illuminating the campsite while surrounded by the darkness of the bush.

This painting was inspired by the many uses my ancestors deployed for the use of fire. Fire was an extremely important element in my peoples daily lives; our elders told many stories and taught many lessons while children sat around it. It was a light a night which enabled them to see.

This painting depicts one of the four elements, its uses and importance to the Aboriginal people.
